I have noticed something interesting since returning to a car-free lifestyle. I don’t enjoy being on highways as much as I once did.
Over the years, I have spent a lot of time trying to become a better human. Not only does being a better human make me happier but it helps my relationships with those around me.
Whatever motivates you is what you will spend the most time and energy pursuing. What motivates me is the desire to live a meaningful life.
If you’re my Facebook friend and don’t know me well, you might think I don’t have a job and am constantly wasting time on Facebook. I’m on there a lot, and I’m not a lurker. I’m posting and commenting at a rapid pace.
I’m currently reading “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle, and I am quite enthralled by it. I am stuck on one particular phrase: “I don’t mind what happens.”
Since getting rid of my car last week to embark on an experiment in carlessness, life’s an adventure!
Traveling to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico was my first adventure since my disastrous trip to Havana, Cuba in 2017.
Tonight as I walked up the street in my neighborhood, I was stopped by a slight woman who said she wanted to ask me a question.
I got a massage this week, and it reminded me of how long it had been since another human had touched my skin so intimately. A couple months. But it felt like a couple years.
